How To Make Homemade Fertilizers For My Roses?
Coffee grounds work great!!
Reply:mjdp has the right idea, but roses like an acidic soil, so a little bit of ash from the fireplace will help too.
Reply:Hi

I have over 30 rose bushes that range from long stem to short. Plus a full garden of miniatures. Banana peels are great. They really help the roses flourish. If you don't eat alot of bananas go to your grocer, they put them out after they start to turn and you can get them for very cheap. I live in zone 4 which is supposed to be very tough for roses. They produce flowers until just after the first snow fall.
Reply:I manufacture fertilizer for a living. If you're serious email me. Homemade products are more trouble than they're worth.
Reply:i realy dont know but it is a good idea
Reply:Go to Jerry Bakers website, he has alot of home remedies for gardening. http://www.jerrybaker.com
Reply:Horse Manure is pretty effective it retains water as well but if you get too hot weather a good soaking is needed plus it keeps down weeds.
Reply:If you have access to horses, get some manure mixed with straw and collect any other materials good for mulch. Mix and cover and you can spread around roses in the Spring
