You generally want Hybrid Tea roses if you want long stemmed ones. You will also be looking for "smooth" or "thornless" roses. Keep in mind that no rose is 100% thorn free. They also almost always have small thorns behind the leaf stems too.

Here are a few that are called smooth or thornless:

American Hero (scarlet red)

Mrs. John Laing (silvery pink)

Blue Moon (lilac)

Smooth Friendship (creamy gold)

Smooth Lollipop (pink and white striped)

Smooth Sunglow (creamy buff)

Smooth Splendour (apricot, coral and pink)

Smooth Snow Flake (creamy white)

Smooth Queen (apricot)

Smooth Moonlight (mauve)

Smooth Buttercup (bright yellow)

Smooth Delight (shell pink)

Smooth Ballerina (pastel pink and white)

Smooth Velvet (blood red)

Smooth Angel (rich cream rose)

Smooth Prince (cerise pink)

Smooth Lady (salmon pink)

If you can't find them locally, you can order them online. Here is a great site for searching for roses. You can search for the name and then it will give you suppliers to try. http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/index.php

Hope this helps you get started! Best of luck. :)

EDIT: If you go to the Help Me Find Roses link I gave you, search for the name of the rose you want. When you do that, you can click on the tab for suppliers. From there, you can go to their website or call them and ask if they take mailed orders. Most sites do take orders via mail but will not hold your order if you order that way but they will process a mailed in order. Does that clarify? Hope this helps. :)
Reply:Grandiflora Roses include Queen Elizabeth,pale pink,growing to 6'+,this has a red sport.

Iceberg,is a white floribunda a similar height.
