The piece is a ceramic 8.5" jar with the lid. It has the "Charleton Roses" decoration and is marked AWCO #4675
I want to find the value of a "Charleton Roses" Piece? How do I go about it?
Your jar was made by the Abels Wasserburg Company in Germany in the 1940's. In perfect condition, its value is around $120-$125.
Reply:About the only way to know without paying for appraisal is to haunt ebay looking for similar or identical pieces. If you wait, everything shows up eventually.
Right now there are 13 Charleton Rose pieces in the Ceramics %26amp; Glass category, but nothing that sounds much like your piece.
BTW, when you do find a similar piece, the asking price means nothing. The bids and selling bid are where it's at.
Reply:Look and see if you can find the item on Ebay and see what they are going for.
