How do i dry and presereve my roses?
You should hang them before they start to drop petals or wilt.Spray them with hairspray first or there are dried flower sprays available at craft stores. But the best method is to dry them buried in cilica gel which is also available in craft stores. Follow the directions that come with it. Usually takes about 2 weeks.
Reply:Please don't hang them upside down, they will turn black. I have found the best thing for drying Roses or most any type of flower is Silica Jel, most craft stores have it, your flowers will last forever and look good too. It is very easy, and a plus is the stuff is reuseable. Hope I was of some help.
Reply:hang them upside down for few weeks - then spray them with hair spray.

thats it!

I have a box with all the rose buds that I ever got - I want to be my loved ones to sprinkle them in my casket before they bury me. So I can keep all the love and good wishes for eternity.
Reply:Hanging them upside down works very well, but a friend told me how to dry them like the people in the 1700s did. First you fill a vase with salt and stick the rose in the vase and envelope it in salt.
Reply:I alwayshang my roses upside down from a coat hanger out of direct sun. They last seemingly forever.
Reply:when my friend did them they looked nice...or you can press them between books but they look flat... i also heard something about silica gel and covering the roses with them but i dont know much about that
Reply:yep. hang them upside down now and just forget about them for a few months!
