Can enyone tell me how to remove black spots on roses?
Sidney has the product right, just not the timing. What your rose has is a common fungal disease known as black spot. Some roses are more resistant to black spot than others. When you select a rose, try to look for and plant the resistant types.

The Bayer Advanced Rose Care product is a systemic (a product absorbed by the plants roots and translocated to all the plant's parts) that contains an anti-fungal active ingredient (a fungicide). What you need to know is that fungicides are only preventative. They help to prevent a fungus from entering a plant. No fungicide can destroy a fungus once its in the plant. Applying this product now will not clear-up your black spot problem. Next year, follow the application directions on the label and apply before black spot appears on your roses. Good luck %26amp; happy gardening.
Reply:I've had black spot battles before with my roses, but only on the leaves, not the rose blooms themselves...so I am not sure it's the same thing.

There are fungicides available that are specific to roses. While you are waiting for fungicide to work, you should be somewhat careful that infected leaves don't fall to the ground and recontaminate.

On the other hand, I have this vague feeling that I have seen or heard about the black edging, so you should google rose cultivation sites. GL.
Reply:I use a systematic solution that is manufactuered by Bayer. You can find it at Wal-Mart or Lowes. It has fertilizer, insectiside and something for disease in it. It is applied at the roots so the plant absorbs it. You mix it with water according to the instructions on the bottle. It does wonders for my roses.
Reply:If they're white roses, you could use white-out!
Reply:It is already to late to do anything about it ,to prevent black spot one should treat the rose with a systemic fungicide in early spring as soon as the first tiny leaves appear and continue spraying every month until July, at the end of the season make sure you collect all the dead leaves from around the rose tree and burn them as the spores that cause black spot overwinter in dead leaves and other debris from the rose bushes
