Make a fresh angle cut as soon as you get them. Do this under room temp running water to prevent air bubbles from forming in the stems. Use the packet of food. Make sure all leaves are cut off that will be under water. Keep out of drafts, direct sun, and away from heat vents. Change water every day, and make another new angle cut under the running water. This should help make them last a few extra days.
Reply:Adding aspirin, lemon lime soda (like 7-up) or listerine are all things that I have heard make flowers last longer. (But not all together obviously)
Reply:well water will of course help, you can list them as well. although a 45 degree cut on the bottom at least one inch above the original cut before putting them in water. also try an aspirin
Reply:well my partner puts in sum suger that seems to work
